THEATREMAX NOW TAKING ENROLMENTS FOR TERM 3 2017

Just a reminder that TheatreMax terms are only 8 weeks long this year.

Term 3 dates - MON 17TH JULY — SAT 9TH SEPT  (8 WEEKS)

Musical Theatre in Term 2 & 3 – both Junior and Senior classes will rehearse together from 4:30-6:30 on a Tuesday. Term fee $160. Performance weekend for Alice in Wonderland 16-17 September with rehearsals Tuesday 13th & Thursday 14th September from 4:30-8:30. In Term 4 class times will return to normal as per Term 1 to concentrate on skills work.

Beginner/Junior/Intermediate classes will be performing their self-devised works at the end of Term 3 - weekend of 22-24 September with final performance and rehearsal dates TBA. Junior and Intermediate classes will begin work on these in Term 2 and groups and topics will be allocated at the end of this Term so students can begin thinking about their pieces.

Term 4 dates - MON 9TH OCT — SAT 2ND DEC  (8 WEEKS)

TheatreMax offers drama classes for all ages.

Younger age groups will concentrate on creative play and stimulating the imagination. Older classes will develop stage skills such as improvisation, play-building, character development, movement and voice production as well as script work.

Along the way students will have fun and gain confidence, concentration and teamwork skills. Each class will work towards performances/workshops of productions. All classes will cater to the needs and experience of the participants.

Studio Director - SHANNON FAITH

Shannon Faith graduated from Wollongong University with a Bachelor of Creative Arts Honours in Theatre in Education in 1994. She also holds her Cert IV in Training & Assessment.

Since that time Shannon has been working as a professional actor, director and teacher. Her 15 years teaching experience includes 8 years as Studio Director at Theatre South.

Studio productions during that time include;

  • James and the Giant Peach
  • The Lion the Witch and the Wardrobe
  • The Evil Eye of Gondor
  • Captain Blackboot's Island

She has also taught at Wollongong Youth Centre and Danceworld as well as teaching drama for people with special needs at Parameadows and Greenacres.
